Chanel Allure Homme is an oriental-woody perfume for men presented in 1999. It is a remarkably coherent and thoughtful fragrance - despite the multitude of ingredients, it is characterised by a sublime restraint - it makes its presence known subtly, enticing and attracting compliments. The beginning is fruity - sweet and sour served over aromatic lavender and sparkling ginger, giving the impression of pleasant refreshment. In the heart, the fragrance gains depth: woody accents of cedar and Brazilian rosewood are layered on a patchouli and vetiver base, followed by petals of delicate flowers sprinkled with aromatic and spicy nuances of aniseed and pepper. Finally, a base composed of elegant accents of leather wrapped in musk and the warmth of amber and benzoin rings out at the end. Alongside these is a balsamic sandalwood, lined with moss, over which are layered sweet notes of vanilla and tonka bean with a creamy finish of coconut. Chanel Allure Homme is a classy and elegant fragrance - it only goes well with a snow-white shirt worn by a man who is strong, charismatic and chic.
